Mostly I’m just confused that his name isn’t Ted Mosby and he’s dropped the F-bomb, which he can’t do on HIMYM. I don’t know if I can handle this.
Also holy crap he just did a look that reminded me of my boss for a second and now I’m afraid to find Josh Radnor attractive ever again.
New favorite Instaflix show.
“Saucy British comedy series” = I will watch it.
Currently starting watching: The “Up” Series - Seven Up / 7 Plus Seven
When Seven Up was broadcast in 1964, it broke new ground and became the first segment of a laborious and momentous labor of love: an engrossing chronicle of the lives of 14 students from varied social backgrounds, beginning when they were 7 years old. The first meeting with the group of wide-eyed, innocent children invites viewers to take a look at lives in the making; the follow-up film, 7 Plus Seven, checks in on them 7 years later.
These little British 7 year olds are so cute. Why everything but the first DVD is streaming really doesn’t make sense. But at least I won’t have to wait after I finish this one to watch these little buggers grow up.
Currently watching: Strictly Background
Background actors get their moment in the spotlight in this quirky documentary from filmmaker Jason Connell that chronicles the lives of professional movie extras. One professes to have become “really good friends” with Richard Dreyfuss while he was working on set. Another admits that her odd hours and crazy costumes have led her neighbors to assume she’s a hooker. And a third … well, you get the picture.
I unfortunately got sucked into The Secret Life of the American Teenager on Netflix. It is so ridiculous but I need to know what happens.
Besides the million mentions of sex per episode, the fact that nobody in the whole show is likeable, and the awful writing in general, everyone is a huge stereotype and extreme of everything.
Case in point: The rich kid eating Cheerios out of good silver.
Super addicted to this documentary mini-series, and starting to consider running away with the circus. Love my Netflix Instant.
I am also hoping that I can stop being lazy about going to see movies and actually get around to seeing this one when it’s in the theatre down the street. I do have it in my Netflix queue, just in case, though. www.circomexico.com
